EYE ON THE COMMUNITY

SPRING HAS SPRUNG IN THE GARDENS

The Youth Association in conjunction with The Senior Squad and We Care for our Communities came out in full bloom to celebrate Spring!

The youth and teens sponsored a number of activities including a Homemade Bake Sale and Children's Book Sale. The event was very well attended and supported by members of the community and development as a few pounds were added to the scale with many fresh baked delights and tastes by our seniors who donated their time and talents. The residents of Tompkins Houses came out and joined in the festivities lead by their president Leora Keith.

The Teens demonstrated their skills and talent on the basket court as they competed for all expense paid trips to Bush Gardens this summer. The final score found the winners MO, Bash and Josh winning in the A League and Dee, Manman and Kym winning in the class B. The 3 point shoot out winner was Daniel. Congratulations and our thanks to Coach Jerry for putting together a fine tournament.

The day came to close with a good old down home BBQ sponsored by "We Care for our Communities". The entire day went very smooth, relaxing and fun for all who attended. Special thanks to our management team for their support, attendance and logistics.
