The Handsome Money Makers hosted their first event of the year Firday night and it was a big success! The young men all members of the Youth Resident Associaiton and the Teen Tyme Program in the Community Center hosted the party for Lafayette Gardens and friends from other Brooklyn neighborhoods. The youth 13 t 19 years old had a good time dancing, laughing and joking. The evening was highlighted by the dance contest that was won by "DaQuan" who easily snatched the $25.00 cash prize. The night started slow and easy but as the clock ticked more than 130 young people hit the dance floor. Music was provided by DJ K LUV of Lafayette Gardens.
Kudos to all the young people that participated without one single incident, proving that our young people are capable of a party without the police or national guard.
