"MARTY B" KICKS OFF
THE 2010 BROOKLYN HOLIDAY SEASON
On Saturday, Brooklyn Borough President "Marty B" Markowitz officially kicked off the Holiday Season with the annual Best of Brooklyn Holiday Celebration. What a celebration it was with some of the top talent in Brooklyn today entertaining thousands of deserving young people and their caregivers free of charge.
The large and grand Christian Cultural Center on Flatlands Avenue graciously hosted the event, but seemed to be overwhelmed by the number of guests at times. The staff was polite and welcoming as they welcome visitors and dignitaries such as Congressman Anthony Weiner and members of the NYS Assembly.
The Holiday Show was absolutely stunning and equally as professional and exciting as the Wintuk Show on Broadway. The performers were not only some of Brooklyn's best but definitely some of New Yorks Best! Featured performers were The Berean Community drum Line, the Brooklyn Ballet, The extraordinary "Master Yogi Laser", Cirquetacular Core Acrobats, LI LU, Nubian Gents and Feminine Fire Christian Praise Dancers and seven time Apollo winners "DEEP".
The Youth Association and parents escorted 30 of our young people to the event and they loved every minute of it. Immediately following the show the young people received gifts and books for their holiday cheer.
