September kicked off our "Family Survival Skills" trainings. The Fire Department of New York taught 30 residents CPR, Curvival Skills"ardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation in two fun and informative FREE seminars.
Thanks to all the residents who came out to learn a precious survival skill that has been in the news increasingly more the past few months due to the loss of life because no one was available to perform CPR until medical help arrived.
Learning the skill is not difficult and far less complicated than people think. The actual class is just over an hour. The Fire Department not only taught the class but provided each participant with a free take home kit so that the information can be taught and passed on to family and friends.
We are planning to offer the class again in October in Spanish and a special class for teens between the ages of 16 and 24. If interested and for more information call or contact the Resident Association Office 347 587 6443.
