Health Bucks
BIG BUCKS AHOY!
The 2010 Health Bucks season is here!
Health Bucks, worth $2 each, are developed and distributed by NYC Health Department District Public Health Offices and can be used to purchase fresh fruits & vegetables at participating farmers markets (listed on each Health Buck).
Community organizations located in the District Public Health Office neighborhoods of the South Bronx, East and Central Harlem and Central Brooklyn may apply to receive Health Bucks to distribute to their clients as an incentive to support nutrition education and other health promotion activities.
Just in time to celebrate our new YOUTH MARKET, we have been screened and approved to distribute "Health Bucks". Not only are we bringing fresh produce and fruit, but we are able to distribute an added bonus to our patrons. The participating Farmers and Youth Markets all accept Health Bucks, EBT and Senior Farm Bucks.
It is important that our community members come out and support this and all special programs to demonstrate that we not only support our neighborhood but need and appreciate the programs.
