A DAY FOR A WALK

What do you do on a partly cloudy and overcast day out of school. Everyone know's you walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with friends. "The Community Center After School Program" enjoyed the day at Hope Gardens Houses for the"Annual Hope Gardens Parade". The Resident Youth Association spent the afternoon exploring and walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. Picnic Lunches were provided by the Dekalb & Kent Ave. C Town Supermarket.

Mo and Kenny were very happy to provide turkey & cheese sandwiches, juice, water and cookies for the trip. Special thanks and appreciation and C Town employees for always working with Lafayette Gardens and the Community.

Once everyone had made their way across the bridge, the sky opened up and wept like a baby, but we continued to enjoy ourselves and had a great time. Thanks to the Counselors, Parents Teen Staff and young people who joined us for the adventure, Mr. Ray, Mrs. Alyce, Big Kevin, Lil Kevin, Felix, Alonzo, Diamond, Gwen, Ejanah, Patrick, Jean, Arlenis, Tayshon, Suky and TYree
