You had to be in the Community Center last Thursday night during the Teen Tyme program to witness three generations, yes THREE GENERATIONS of WOMEN throwing down on the "Double Dutch". Thats right! Grandmothers, daughters and granddaughters working it! The granddaughters were turning, the mothers were chanting & keeping the neats while the "GRANDMOTHERS" showed them a step or two about jumping rope. It was classic and they didn't miss a beat. Deborah Henry, secretary of the Executive Board let it be known that they were jumping rope before the little ones were a twinkle in the eye.
The night was truly inspiring and a lesson to be learned that family members of all ages can still hang out and have fun together. Special appreciation to Deborah Morrison, Center Director and Sidon the youth coordinator for making the evening even more special! We encourage more parents and grand parents to come out to the Community Center and New Resdient Center to enjoy, share and learn a few new things and teach some old favorites! Who told these young bucks they can play Spades & Pity Pat?
