JANUARY GENERAL MEETING

THE HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE cordially invites you to join us for our monthly General Meeting and light refreshments. The Youth Association Meeting will begin promptly at 6:00 PM and will be followed by the General Meeting at 7:00 PM. We will be discussng the plans and goals for 2010 and nominating cvommittee chairpersons for the following committees and positions.

El comité de hospitalidad de los jardines de Lafayette le invita cordialmente a unirse a nosotros para nuestra reunión mensual General y refrescos. La Asociación de Jóvenes de la reunión comenzará puntualmente a las 6:00 pm y será seguido por la Junta General a las 7:00 PM. Estaremos discussng los planes y metas para el 2010 y designar cvommittee presidentes de las comisiones y las posiciones siguientes.

COMMUNITY CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE - Chairperson position is open MAINTENANCE AND MODERNIZATION COMMITTEE - Co-chairperson position is open
HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE - Co-chairperson needed
POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE - Chairperson position is open
EDUCATION AND YOUTH SERVICES COMMITTEE - Co-chairperson is needed
ATHLETIC DIRECTOR reports to the Education and Youth Services Chairperson - position is open
YOUTH ASSOCIATION ADVISOR Youth Counselor who advises the Youth Resident Associaiton, reports to the Education & Youth Services Chairperson - position is open (need not be a NYCHA resident)
OFFICE INTERNS (2) learning position offered to two young people to set up meetings, clean and maintain the office. Small monthly stipend provided
GARDENING CLUB LEADER plans, leads and maintains the community garden. reports to the Community Center Chairperson

We are also seeking tenants who want to serve on the committees. Especially needed are chaperones and advisors for the Youth Association and activities. The Resident Association is seeking a diverse cross section of the development, tenants who speak different languages, seniors and young people are encouraged to become involved and active on the committee of their choice.

También se busca los inquilinos que quieren servir en los comités. Especialmente necesarios son los acompañantes y asesores de la Asociación de la Juventud y actividades. La Asociación de Residentes está buscando a los diversos sectores del desarrollo, los inquilinos que hablan diferentes idiomas, los ancianos y los jóvenes son alentados a participar y activa en el comité de su elección.
