Some excited and enthusiastic basketball fans had an opportunity to witness NCAA basketball up close and personal at the "Battle For Brooklyn" Sunday evening at Long Island University as the Blackbird Men took on the St. Francis Terriers.
It was an exciting and nail biter right up to the last seconds of the game before LIU was able to apply the pressure and win by four to advance to 14-1 on the season and keep their hopes alive for another NCAA round robin appearance.
The Blackbirds looked great and hungry for the playoffs heading into "March Madness". The youth of Lafayette Gardens had a good time and enjoyed the McDonald's after party.
