The end of summer is no time to slow down the activities and the members of the Youth Association are solid examples enjoying a week long schedule of events and activities. The week saw "Hurricane Irene" make the mad dash out of town just in time for a hometown double header, dinner and chilling on the boardwalk at Coney Island. Each participant was treated to a Coney Island Cyclones Shirt and Cap. This was followed by dinner at The Island McDonalds before reaching home at 10:30 PM. The event was sponsored by 57th Assembly Female District Leader Olanike Alabi and Civil Court Judge Candidate Cheryl Gonzales.

Before they could get bored and settle down, the Police Athletic League loaded them up and off to the NYC Aquarium and lunch for the day. Appreciation to Detective Watts and Housing Bureau for making sure Lafayette Gardens was involved in all the fun!
Who knows which creatures were more fearsome the one's in or out of the tanks, but fun was had by all.
