THE LAFAYETTE GARDENS: EDUCATION AND SOCIAL SERVICE COMMITTEE

"WE KNOW WE CAN" and they did attend the 3rd annual Brooklyn West Mid Atlantic College and Education Tour. What a weekend as 120 residents attended a bus and truck tour of colleges, schools and some fun recreation thrown in for good measure in July.

The weekend that included guests from several developments including Lafayette gardens and Tompkins Houses was adventurous to say the least. The host resort of The Best Western Kings Resort and Hotel was fantastic and extended every courtesy to our guests.

Welcome home, "Lafayette Gardens", a federally funded New York City Housing Authority Development composed of seven residential buildings, a Community Center and City Health Clinic with more than 2500 residents of all nationalities, ages, races, sexual orientations and income ranges.
