FROM THE PRESIDENT

SAY WHAT!

Free Computer Repair!
Thanks to all the residents and community members who came from as far away as Coney Island for the free computer repair clinic last Saturday. It was a total success and the computer doctors from IGOTITTOO Digital Technology repaired all brands, makes and models of computers from the simple tune up to the vicious virus. The program was successful enough for me to ask them to come back in the early summer.

Notice Boxes!
Al bets are off and the winner is! Everyone was predicting that 456 would denigrate or destroy their new notice box found in all lobbies. We are proud to announce that 456 is taking great care of their lobby. The fact is that only 470, 415 and 433 are the buildings who have destroyed their notice boxes. We are not going to spend Association money to repair the damages, if anything we will remove the boxes if they become a health or safety hazard. Thank you to the residents who appreciate the information and respect their buildings.

New Stoves!
Lafayette Gardens has been scheduled for new stoves for some years now. Well, it looks as if we are finally getting them in May! Yes, thats the word it looks like May 3rd for the first round of stoves starting with building 1 and then in number order until complete on the 7th. If you received a new stove already, it will not be replaced. Thanks for your patience and everything is possible in time!

Brick Face Project
The word on the streets is that the roof and brick face project and scaffolding that has been underway during the winter is nearing completion and will be taken down within the next 2 weeks.

HUD Inspections
It's that time again, the annual HUD Inspections will take place in June and we need to be prepared if we want to get more Federal dollars. Do your part and be prepared. Clean your house, make sure your fire, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors have batteries and are working. If your apartment is selected for the inspection, YOU MUST be home to provide access. If you are selected and no one is home to provide access, NYCHA will drill the lock open, no exceptions.
