Project Generations and The Youth Association celebrated Earth Day and spent the day enjoying our local environment. We took a cruise to Staten Island and learned about the NYC Harbor and the Hudson River. It was a great trip for young, old and those in between as many of the residents were enjoying their first time on a ship, the Staten Island Ferry.
Once we arrived back on shore we headed to Pier 45 better known as the Christopher Street Pier where everyone enjoyed lunch, fun and games during the annual Hudson River Spring Festival. Everyone had an opportunity to run wild and enjoy a day out in the sun on the river banks. Our very own "Alonzo" hit the stage and brought the house down with his rendition of a Michael Jackson hit "I want you back".
