"OEPRATION SAFE CHILD"

The Resident Association and The NYC Police Museum in partnership with The NYPD, are pround to offer Association Members an opportunity to receive free identification cards for your young people ages 16 years and under. Each parent or guardian will need to complete a parental release form that gives the police department permission to photgraph and fingerprint your young person/s for the ID card. Parents and guardians will have an additional option of electing to have their childs information stored in the National Child Safe System until the child reaches the age of 18 or having the information destroyed once the ID card is produced.
Any student, parent or guardian interested in participating may contact TYree, president in building 345/ 17d for more iformation or release forms.

We will depart from the front of 345 at exactly 10:00 AM on Monday morning February 1, 2010. We will take the train to the Police Museum in Manhattan where the students will be finger printed, have their pictures taken and then tour the museum. After the tour the students will receive their new ID cards and we will catch the train back to Brooklyn. The entire trip will be about 4 hours.

The Association will cover the cost of transportation for students who do not have a school train pass, admission to the museum for everyone and the administrative cost of the ID Card. We encourage all members to take advantage of this opportunity. State ID cards cost $50.00 per person or more, this is an excellant opportunity to get identification for your child at "NO COST TO YOU" other than a signature and time.
